User types
There are several different user types in the ATS. Each different user types has different access levels in terms of what they can see and what actions they can take within the ATS. Below is an explanation of each user type:
Recruiter Admin
This user type has full access to the recruiter portal (this allows the user to add/publish jobs, view all applicant records etc) and they can also complete the following additional tasks:
- Update system settings
- Delete records
- Add new users
- Approve new agency users (so that jobs can be released to them)
Recruiter Users
This user type has full access to the recruiter portal which means that they can complete the following tasks:
- View/add/edit all job, applicant, candidate, agency and cost records
- Update status of applicants to any other status
- Publish/unpublish jobs to the jobs page/table
- And all other day to day recruitment admin tasks that the recruiter portal supports (there are too many to mention)
Hiring Manager Users
This user type has access to the hiring manager portal (if this portal has been enabled). In the hiring manager portal the user can view the details of jobs where they are an assigned hiring manager and they can also view the details of any applicants for this job once the applicant has been shortlisted.
This user can then move applicants to any status that has been assigned to hiring managers. This typically means that they can reject or mark applicants as suitable for interview and depending on the setup of the ATS they might be able to schedule their own interviews.
Interview Users
This user type cannot access the recruiter or hiring manager portal. However, their details will appear in the hiring manager list so that they can be assigned to a job and also have interviews scheduled for them.
